Reni specializes in Moe style performances, a genre that emphasizes the cute look of Japanese pop-culture with the hip appeal of Japanese animation.
She released her first Japanese CD in 2006, relocated to NY in 2008. In 2009, Reni has been invited as a guest performer to Japan Society, Otakon, NY Anime Festival and Anime Boston, and is quickly winning over the hearts of many new local fans, thanks to her pretty stage costumes, upbeat personality, and her outstanding singing talent. Her new CD album "Sakura" is released on September 25th, 2009, and her first photo book "Maid in NY" was published in March 2010, and they are available online for purchase. Let's go to eBay!
７歳からクラシックバレエを始め、日本舞踊、ヒップホップ、ジャズダンスなど様々なダンス技術を習得。芝居の勉強の為、劇団に所属し演劇活動、舞台の作･演出・出演を手がける一方、日本アカデミー賞ノミネート作品にも出演出演。 ２００５年、音楽オーディションで１，０００人の中から選ばれ、翌年に映画ポケモンの主題歌を作曲した山移高寛氏のプロデュースで初アルバムをリリース。ルイード、クラブチッタ等のライブハウスでパフォーマンスを行い、見せる音楽とカリスマ性で子供から大人まで、幅広いファンを魅了させて来た。
２００８年７月より、大きな活躍を求めて渡米。現在Aspire Communications, Inc.所属。毎月ニューヨークで開催のJapanese "Maid" Showはアメリカ人に大人気。その他２００９年にはジャパンソサエティー、オタコン、ニューヨークアニメフェスティバルにゲストで出演。２０１０年、 NHK番組”ニューヨーク ウェーブ"に出演。３月リリースの写真集はeBayにて好評発売中！

The size of the place. And people are cheerful and kind.
What has been the biggest challenge in the U.S.?
Singing my original song in Japanese to American audience.
Song - My Shy Master.
This song is about a couple. She loves sweet pastries and fashion. He is very shy and busy with his job. That makes communication very hard. Then she came to this idea. "OK Maybe I can be a cute helper for him, like a maid. This pretty song goes from English and Japanese back and forth. Dance moves are also choreographed very cutely, and fans love to dance together.

This was a new challenge for Reni. Reni had never sang my gratitude towards parents. After I relocated to the U.S. I felt so far from home and lonely, and this reminded how important parents are. Reni sing my gratitude in this song with a letter style. This song tells me also how much I learned through my experiences in the U.S. and how kind people are.

I just want to dance together with friends in this song. Just liberated and become one. I told this to my choreographer, Myu, and she put it together to dance together.

Favorite manga.
I love movies by Hayao Miyazaki. I love those main female characters. Chobits, Haruhi, Bleach. Anime that were suggested by friends in the U.S. I watch them.
Why Reni calls you Angels?
That's because when I lived in Japan, I was questioning myself "maybe I shouldn't have been born," but Reni wanted to live. In order to live, I decided to come to the United States, and after knowing you, my mind changed because everybody saved my mind. And this is why you are Reni's angels.

Q ２００８年にニューヨークに来ると言う大きな転機があったようですが、どうしてそうなったのですか？
最終的に世界でパフォーマンスがしたかった。より沢山の人に出会い、友達になりたいから。日本でCDを出したのが２００６年でした。日本は隔離された小さな島国です。早く世界でパフォーマンスできるよ うになりたい！！早く世界の人たちに出会いたい！！日本でCDをだし、映画 に出たことで日本でのパフォーマンスに満足し、心のあせりを解放させるため、必 然的にそうなって行きました。
Q アメリカでもともと生活したかったのですか？
パフォーマンスするということは考えていましたが、まさか移り住むとは予期できていませんでした。。。でも、パフォーマンスするとい うことは、住んでみないとわからない事だらけだと今は思います。皆が何を喜んでくれるか、皆が何を嫌うか。
Reniは皆に愛 されたいといつも思っています。そのためにアメリカで生活するのは必要なことです。Reniは赤ちゃんのように好奇心いっぱいです。
Q 一番大きな挑戦は何だった？
アメリカ人のオー ディエンスの前で、日本語だけで自分のオリジナルソングを歌ったこと。
Q 英語を話す時一番はずかしかった事は？
単語がぬけたりしてReniが言いたいことが伝わっていなくて、オーディエンスのみんなの反応が？？？っ てなって、それがYou tubeに残っていること。。。。えへ！だけどReniの場合は伝えたいことでいっぱいで、恥ずかしがるよりもとにかく英語を話さなくてはいけない状況でし た。英語を何も話せなかったReniにとって、それは必然として英語とカルチャーを学べるラッキーな境遇でした。
Q パフォーマーとして一番思い出に残っている事は？
アメリカで初めて パフォーマンスを行ったのは、ジャパンソサエティーのクレイジイというコスプレのイベントです。そのときReniは日本語のオリジナルしか持ってなくてそれを３曲歌い、スタンディングオべーションをもらいました。 本当に嬉しかったし、アメリカで頑張ろうって思いました。
Q パフォーマンスをしていてファンが喜んでいるのを感じる時の感覚を教えて下さい。その時の気持ちは？
自由。Reniのパフォーマンスの理想は皆がReniに注目することでなく、それぞれ何も気にすることなく心が解放されておどっている。そのときのReniの気持ちは会場全て一体化です！！Reniも皆も気持ちが優しく、それが一つになります。だから、Ｒｅｎｉにとってファンではなく友達なので す。ナカヽ(´∀｀●)人(●´∀｀)ノヨシ
My Shy Masterという曲を説明して下さい。
この歌はお互い大好きな二人がいますが、彼女はとってもスウィーツが大好きで、おしゃれが大好き、彼はとってもシャイでとってもお仕 事が忙しい。。そのため、二人のコミニュケーションはいつももどかしく、彼女は可愛い提案をします。それならあなたのお手伝いができないかしら？メイドみ たいに。。。。とっても可愛い曲で、日本語と英語を行き来します。振り付けもダンサーと横並びにそろってお行儀よく、まねをしてくれるオーディエンスも多いです。
Otomeはもっとフォークな雰囲気を 持っていますが、この曲はどんなあなたにとって意味を持っていますか？
新たな挑戦でした。Reniは今まで両親に対して感謝の歌をつくったことがなかったのです。アメリカにう つり、遠くはなれて初めて寂しくなり、両親に感謝ができます。その感謝や、謝罪の気持ちを音楽にのせました。アメリカでパフォーマンスをしだしてから人と しての暖かみもわかるようになりアーティストとしても成長できたと実感できる楽曲です。全て英語の歌詞です。
Shining Starのダンスについて教えて下さい。どうやってダンスを思いついたのですか？
とにかく、みんなで踊りたい！！解放され一つになりたい！だからそいう気持ちを振り付けのＭｙｕちゃんに伝え、歌詞の内容にそってつ くりました。
最後にエンジェルのみんなにひと言。
Reniは毎日、 ダンスをして、パフォーマンスのミーティングをしたり、撮影をしたり、Reniをより 沢山の人に知ってもらうための活動をしています。たんたんとした毎日だったり、時には寂しくなったりするけど、皆と会う日を楽しみにしてがんばっていま す。ここまで頑張ってこれたことも、みんなのおかげです。本当にありがとう。これからも応援ヨロシク。
